Latvian Knitting

Hello Ladies,
Here is a chance for us to learn something new!!!

Interested in Learning Latvian Knitting??

Sarmite Vilks, who spoke at a Guild Meeting a few
years ago, will conduct a 1- day workshop for us.
She is also offering follow-up assistance!!
(which is always great).

Guild member, Mirzda Avens has offered to host
this event is her country home, near Brantford,
about 1/2 hour drive from our usual meeting
place.

During the workshop, you will knit a sampler
in the form of a wrist warmer or phone/pop can
caddy.
This will give you the opportunity to learn the
following techniques:-
   -   picot edge
   -   scalloped border
   -   fringe
   -   Latvian braid
   -   2 colour cast-on
   -   knitting in the round
   -   stranded colour work

How to sign up for this event?

At our upcoming meeting Tuesday February 5th,
Mirzda will -
    -   share more information about this workshop.
    -   accept registration payments
    -   show us several samples and books,
including Latvian Mittens by Lizbeth Upitis

To reserve your space, please bring $70.00 cash

February Meeting

                  Our February Meeting will be
                      Tuesday Evening, 7-9pm
                           February 5th 2019

Come along and enjoy meeting with good friends and
knitting companions.
Our programme for the evening is to be by our own
Jane Kawamura who will give us presentation on Brioche.
An interesting knitting technique.
Let us hope that the weather has heated up, even a little,
for our meeting.  Come out and have fun anyway!!
