Shortly after the last blog post, I received a big thank you from the Linus Project coordinator! After I dropped off the last donation of blankets, she called to tell me that over the past Guild year, our Blanketeers have knitted up 30 blankets for children in crisis. She is most grateful for everyone's generosity of time, skill and heart and soul. Thanks so much!!!!!!

Passing along some summer knitting tidbits:
- Knitting in the Park: Beginning Tuesday, June 21st, Knitting in the Park takes place at the Dundas Driving Park in Dundas, every Tuesday evening at 6:30pm in the Summer. Enter the park to the right and drive about 3/4 of the way around the oval. Look for the group near the stairs on the right. Bring your lawn chair and of course your knitting!
- Charity Knitting: If you would like to use some of our donated yarn for any of our charity knitting projects, contact Ali by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
- Our new executive has been elected for the 2016-2017 year. Welcome to Susan (our new VP). And thank you to Gayle who will look after our 50-50 draws. A warm thank you to Jane (past VP) and Dana (past Membership Chair) for their support and service to the Guild, and to Gay who has looked after our 50-50 draw for us. We currently are looking to fill our vacant Membership Chair position!
- Our next meeting is September 6th, 2016: Stay tuned for more details!
Have a wonderful, safe, relaxing Summer!
